  • I think that the road leading from square to school ought to be speed restricted to 5mph. Most people drive sensibly and considerately there, but there are a number who see its 20 and will drive to the limit.

  • Rather than pushing for more housing the reasons why so many parents have taken their children out of the village school in recent years should be addressed first.

    • Which it has been, thanks to great work in their free time by most parents in the community and the excellent new head and her team. Academic results also improved remarkably and surpassing national standards.

  • To keep the school we need houses

  • Preserving the primary school, and therefore the village as a location for young families, is the single most important issue in our community

  • Already highlighted in earlier sections that we need to prioritise opportunities and activities for our children and young people.

  • Keeping the nursery and school is imperative to the community. We need to be able to attract more young families and showcase what the school has to offer. It’s a very nurturing and welcoming school, one we should be very proud of.

  • Making the community as family friendly as possible, with thriving local school, after school care, and fun activities to bring people together, and recognising choices for older kids further afield and helping them access those

  • Getting the whole community involved in village life would be a starter so that people are welcoming to each other. Also parents taking lead roles in Gala days that involves their children and village organisations also getting together to create a plan of action so the Gala becomes a community focus again.
