An all weather pitch would be fantastic in the winter
Healthcare is terrible in our area. Local access in the village is essential to support community development. Having no access choice apart from Eyemouth and BGH isn't acceptable when there are closer, better services in the area. The unforgiving attitudes of both Lothian and borders simply do not address our needs or the founding principles of the NHS- equitable access for everyone
So agree. It’s a terrible drive to BGH for anybody but worse if your I’m pain with arthritis or other ailments and then parking is a nightmare even if your just visiting.
Community transport would be amazing for kids and for older folk or those who are more vulnerable. It iis a huge undertaking though to set-up and manage so I guess for me
Healthcare is awful. The surgeries in Dunbar continually say they have reached their "safe level" of phone appointments (!) very early in the day and if you do manage to see the doctor any treatment is rerouted to Borders General which is three times the distance than Haddington and far harder to find parking on site.
Artificial pitch - I can see the benefit, but my concern is that they always seem to have giant fences surrounding them. For me, that’s not suitable or necessary in this location. If it’s a 3 foot high fence to keep dogs out, fine, but I don’t see need for anything more intrusive.
Be great if we could be part of East Lothian just like Dunglass and Oldhamstocks. May be better transport, health etc etc
Multi use astro pitch would be great for the community as would be used constantly but children and adults
Employ a part time youth worker to run youth club and mini bus to get to attractions suitable for the teenagers - they always seem to be forgotten about
