Please describe where you think new housing should be located.

  • Dunbar2
  • Tollview2
  • Area around Toll View, Area between Edinburgh Road & Stream, - Preserving the wooded area around the stream.1
  • As existing sites1
  • In the area designated already for building, at Toll View but not as many houses as seem to be shown on the photo, I agree with 10-20 houses max1
  • Toll view and callender place1
  • Where planning is already granted1
  • Adjacent to new toll view area, feeding into back of village hall1
  • Towards the end of Hoprig Road. There is land suitable for some family homes.1
  • Toll View1
  • I think it is a good idea as long as it does not impact on the outlook of the existing housing particularly in Toll View1
  • Edinburgh rd1
  • Other side of Edinburgh Road towards railway line1
  • Behind Tollview...infrastructure already in place1
  • Complete Toll View as roadway is partially there already and there would be minimal impact to anyone who already has a ‘view’.1
  • Toll view1
  • No idea specifically, but think better a disused/barely-used field. Not somewhere that would disrupt nature-rich woodland/green spaces. The Mount location would be less disruptive in this regard. I also don’t want to see our village turn into the sprawling copy/paste battery farm housing such as is happening in Dunbar, East Linton, etc.1
  • Extending on from Tollview area with footpaths to connect to school, shop & village hall.1
  • On the sites already identified1
  • What's earmarked is a good start point.1
  • Toll View. However, 4 houses seems a lot and if I was at Toll View that would be concerning.1
  • Definitely not in the valley between Toll View and the telephone exchange, as it is prone to flooding1
  • The 2 places that already have planning permission1
  • Living at Dunglass Park (Toll View and Lady Hall Rd) for 30 plus years we have been in an unfinished development it would be nice to see it finished in my lifetime.1
  • Where it will not add extra traffic through the center of the village.1
  • Beside toll view or heading out of the village towards hoprig1

The land extending from Tollview, has planning permission for 45 homes and could be constructed as planned at any time. Do you prefer this location or the Proposed Housing Locaton 2 ( the land accessed off the old A1 near to The Mount), or both, or neither?

  • When I state that I support new housing development, I am referring only to a small-scale development, comprising no more than approximately 10 to 15 dwellings.

    Housing

    • Likewise but yes restricted to provide for families to stop this becoming a retirement community

      Housing

    • 100% behind that...only the already prepared area by Tollview.

      Housing

    • Your delusional if you think that will be enough to encourage new family’s here and the growth of the village and community

      Housing

  • better drainage and infrastructure

    Housing

  • Yes agree 10-20 houses max on the land already approved to build on. Thats the one thing which stops Scot borders region from trying to kill our school and therefore the villages future

    Housing

  • Support for school (in Dunbar, developers early on had to also develop school building); I would prefer housing off Lady Hall to start and then decide if we need more

    Housing

  • We need to know a great deal more about the proposed housing before we make decisions about it

    Housing

  • Miserable old git: new houses for families saves the school, school goes all us with young kids go too, shop maybe in trouble. So houses are good imo but the right ones and not too many.

    Housing

  • People live here because of the environs - look at all the beautiful villages along the East Lothian coast that are slowly but surely being destroyed by the building of new estates and houses

    Housing

  • Every small village that has had housing built has destroyed that community feeling. Copath needs better transport from bus compony before any new houses get built this is specific for a Sunday also as there is no bus service whatsoever
